Eurobasket Belgium has learned that Optima Gent will not be replacing the injured Kevin Melson due to budgetary constraints. Kevin could be out another 4 to 5 weeks.
Melson averaged 22.4 ppg in the 5 games he played before suffering his injury.

Liege has signed Belgian NT player Guy Muya for another 2 seasons.

Okapi Aalstar has announced a contract extension for young Belgian guard Jorn Steinbach. He will be on the Aalstar roster for the coming 2 years

Slovenia - Sunara new coach of Helios, Lorbek returns to Spain

Ivan SunaraHelios Domzale decided to part ways with coach Rado Trifunovic , replaced him by Ivan Sunara (agency: Agency No 10 ) for the remainder of the season with an option to extend the deal by a year.
Domen Lorbek (198-G/F-85) will finish the season in Spain with Lagun Aro GBC. He started the season in ACB wih Cajasol and then moved to his home country where he is actually playing for Helios Domzale averaging more than 13 ppg in Adriatic League and 12

Union Olimpija demolished Krka in the semifinals of 2010 Slovenian Cup Spar and Zlatorog will play in its seventh final, first since 2006.
Union Olimpija-Krka 62-33: Krka opened the game with 9 consecutive points, but Olimpija responded with a 29-3 run. Vladimir Golubovic scored 13 points, Nemanja Aleksandrov added 11, Vlado Ilievski and Edin Bavcic netted 10 apiece and Gasper Vidmar grabbed 10 rebounds

Holland - Sam Jones, new point guard of DeFriesland Aris.

Sam JonesSam Jones (188-G-78, college: Northwood) signed a contract for the remain of the season with DeFriesland Aris, as replacement for Tristan Blakwood who moved to Eiffel Towers Den Bosch. Sam Jones has since the summer of 2008 the Dutch nationality and has already played twelve times for the Dutch NT. He played five seasons for Den Bosch (from 2002 to 2007) and briefly in the 2007-08 season for Rotterdam.

The National 2 All Star Game in Luxemburg was held in Mondorf last weekend. In the 109-103 win from the East over the West Nick Harrington (201-F-85, agent: Scorers1st Sportmanagement, college: S.Vermont) was crowned MVP. He dominated the game and was the number one crowd pleaser. Harrington finished the game with impressive stats scoring 37 points grabbing 15 rebounds and had unbelievable 14 dunks.
